Inchmurrin Island self catering apartments on beautiful Loch Lomond provide the ultimate self catering experience.
Self Catering Cottages
Inchmurrin is the largest of Loch Lomond’s islands, situated on the largest of Scotland’s Lochs. Just thirty minutes from Glasgow and a short ferry crossing from the mainland, Inchmurrin self catering accommodation on Loch Lomond promises traditional hospitality and the gentler pursuits of life. The island offers guests self catering accommodation, a restaurant, bar and function suite, as well as moorings and free berthing for boats. The self catering accommodation consists of three self catering apartments with uninterrupted views of Loch Lomond and one self catering cottage with its own private sun deck, garden & beach. A ferry service is provided for guests and several jetties are available for customers who have their own boats.
The restaurant caters to all needs, from individuals having a bar meal to weddings for eighty people. As well as enjoying the peace and quiet guests on holiday occupy themselves by sailing, fishing, water ski-ing, boating and exploring the Island; or else use the ferry service to travel to the mainland and take advantage of the many attractions in the Loch Lomond area. Private car parking is available for our self catering guests at the mainland jetty and the nearby Lomond Shores offers a free boat slippage and trailer storage facility.
Inchmurrin is owned entirely by the proprietors allowing guests the freedom to roam and explore the many walks and beaches. The island is formed along the Highland Boundary fault line, with the area to the west of the fault designated a site of special scientific interest due to the mature Alder and Holly woodland. The island has a total of forty nine archaeological sites including the remains of Lennox Castle, which dates back to the fourteenth century.
